The snake camera is a versatile inspection instrument. Various videoscope cables with different characteristics can be connected to the snake camera. A special advantage of the snake camera is the large display, which offers the user the best possible overview of the area to be viewed due to its dimensions and resolution. The snake camera allows the recording of images and videos, and the videos are additionally stored with an audio recording. The clear resolution becomes evident when you view the images which can be saved to the snake camera's SD card by a keystroke. When the SD card is read from the computer, the recorded images and videos are clearly displayed. Due to the fact that the recordings are stored on an external mass storage device, it is possible to select which SD card is inserted into the snake camera. The maximum capacity, however, should be 32 GB. An 8 GB memory card allows you to store more than 60,000 images or more than 530 minutes of video material.
Especially in places that are difficult to access, the two-way optics is a great advantage of the snake camera. However, if the control of the camera head is not sufficient and images on the display can not be shown satisfactorily, there is still the possibility to rotate the images on the display of the handset at a 90° angle. In addition to the image rotation, various other functions can also be set on the handset itself. For example, the snake camera allows a digital zoom as well as the setting of the LED brightness of the camera head. The snake camera has a thread at the back which allows the user to position the main unit on a tripod to carry out permanent recordings. The automatic switch-off function can be activated or deactivated in the menu by the snake camera. In addition, when the automatic switch-off is activated, different time intervals between 5 and 30 minutes can be selected. In addition to the tripod, the main unit can also be comfortably held by the padded shoulder straps.
