For flow velocities up to 80 m/s (178.66 mph); also determines differential pressure, flow rate, temperature; with data storage; Software for real-time transmission included
The PCE-HVAC-2 is a pitot tube anemometer for measuring differential pressure, airflow, air velocity and temperature. Due to its design, the anemometer equipped with an angled pitot tube, is particularly suitable for the rapid and precise determination of high air velocities of up to 80 m / s. During the measurement of the flow velocity, this pitot tube anemometer offers a choice of units (m / s, knots, km / h, mph, ft / min).
The 33.5-cm long pitot tube with a diameter of only eight millimetres, attached to the pitot tube anemometer, makes the application in confined work spaces, small openings and pipe systems possible. The manufacturer has equipped the meter with some practical features, which makes its application versatile. So that it could be mounted on a tripod, the pitot tube anemometer has a thread on the bottom side. Thus, in this position, the user has two free hands which provides a much better flexibility in the handling of the pitot tube. The supplied two pressure hoses, each 85 centimetres long, are attached to the top of the pitot tube anemometer and then can be connected to the L-shaped pitot tube.
In order to be able to optimally read-out the measurement results even under the unfavourable lighting conditions, the manufacturer has provided the pitot tube anemometer with a large backlit LC display. The internal measured values memory of the pitot tube anemometer provides storage for up to 99 readings per parameter. This allows to save the collected data and to retrieve them at any time. In addition, the pitot tube anemometer allows the storage of maximum and minimum values. The anemometer has a practical Data-Hold function so that the last measurement results could be read-out again. Via the USB interface of the pitot tube anemometer used in a combination with the software supplied, a real-time measurement can be performed. To protect the battery, the manufacturer has equipped the meter with an auto-power-off function. The pitot tube anemometer turns off automatically when not in use after a short time.
Pitot tube anemometers are preferably used in air conditioning and ventilation technology. They are ideal, for example, to determine the flow velocity in ventilation ducts. Its versatile functions make the pitot tube anemometer from PCE Instruments indispensable and useful for many applications in craft and industry as well as for detecting high wind speeds. The robust measuring device with its ergonomic housing and backlit display guarantees high measuring accuracy and easy handling. The pitot tube anemometer from PCE Instruments is flexible in its application and provides precise results even under difficult environmental conditions. The insensitivity of the robust, metallic pitot tube probe to mechanical stress is another advantage. These features make the meter a reliable companion for technicians, installers and experts.
As accessories to the pitot tube anemometer PCE-HVAC-2, the manufacturer PCE Instruments offers fitting stainless-steel pitot tubes in different lengths and diameters.
PCE Instruments also offers the ISO calibration certificate CAL-AM for anemometers, wind measuring instruments and wind sensors to comply with DIN ISO 9000. Calibration certificates are issued specifically for customers, the annual recalibration can also be performed via PCE Instruments.
