The pack includes software and an RS-232 cable. This allows for data to be tranferred directly from the device to a computer. Data can also be exported to other software applications such as Excel. If you find that you only have a USB port on your computer, then order the USB-RS232 adapter to allow the device to connected through an RS-232 port.
