Parcel Scales PCE-PB 60N up to 60 kg, bidirectional USB interface, HOLD and PEAK function,
counting function, mains and battery operation, incl. USB interface cable
The USB parcel scales of PCE-PB 60N are versatile platform scales. Due to its features, these easy-to-use scales are not only suitable for the shipping area. With functions such as piece counting, fill level weighing and PEAK Hold, it can also be used for special applications in development, manufacturing and warehousing. The package scales can be operated with standard AA batteries or via the mains plug on normal sockets. Due to the low weight of only 3 kg and the compact dimensions of the platform and control unit, it is completely unproblematic to carry the scales frequently from one place of use to another. The weighing platform with dimensions of 300 x 300 x 45 millimetres is made of stainless steel and is therefore resistant and easy to clean.
The display and control unit on this parcel scales is connected to the platform via a spiral cable that can be pulled to a length of about 1.5 metres. Depending on the working environment, it can be hung on the wall or set up next to the platform with the accompanying display holder. The adjustable backlighting of the display ensures that the displayed values are easy to see even in dim ambient lighting, and the adjustable automatic switch-off increases the operating time in battery mode. Instead of the kilogram, grams (g), pounds (lb) or Newtons (N) can be selected as the unit of measurement. The result of the weighing is then immediately displayed in the selected unit and no longer needs to be converted. To switch between the units, simply press the corresponding key on the control panel of the parcel scales. To avoid confusion, the currently set unit is shown on the display above the numerical value.
The PCE-PB 60N parcel scales can also be used as counting scales. Regardless of whether it is for order picking, goods receipt or inventory control, the determination of the number of pieces of similar parts is considerably facilitated by the scales with a counting function. On the one hand, the PEAK Hold function enables test set-ups with compression force measurement where only the peak value is permanently displayed. On the other hand, this function can also be used to determine the maximum weight from several components or packaging units in order to record the maximum upward deviation or to adjust equipment and work processes to the highest individual weight. Another interesting function of the parcel scales is the storage of a container weight to be subtracted during later weighings. With the help of this function, for example, fill quantities in barrels, gas bottles or collection containers can be displayed directly as net weight.
The bidirectional USB interface not only enables the direct transfer of the weighing results to a computer or printer, but also the control of the parcel scales by the PC. With suitable software, such as PCE-SOFT SC, which was specially developed for PCE scales models, the determined weight value can be transferred directly to the shipping documents, inventory lists or product databases. The scales software, which runs in parallel with application programs, simulates a keyboard input on request, whereby the current weight value is transferred directly to the activated field of the application software. The software is available in different versions as an optional accessory.
The parcel scales can be calibrated, i.e. their measuring accuracy can be checked, by the user himself as well as by the professional calibration service providers. On request, the PCE-PB 60N scales can also be supplied with an ISO calibration certificate at extra cost. If it is found out during the calibration that the weighing results are not accurate enough, the parcel scales can be readjusted. It offers the possibility to recalibrate several points via the scales menu. This ensures high accuracy for the entire weighing range.
