The handheld tachometer uses the so-called "stroboscope effect" to analyse fast movements, vibrations or periodic processes. With the help of 9 high-intensity LEDs, the handheld tachometer generates short flashes of light with an illuminance of up to 1500 lx. These flashes of light are emitted in synchronisation with the frequency of the movement to be monitored until the object appears to stand still to the observer.
