The Heating Mantle is a cost-effective and powerful alternative to conventional high-temperature furnaces. Developed for the incineration of individual samples up to a maximum temperature of 610 °C, this device is ideal for determining the ash content, the incineration residue and for treating all organic and inorganic materials.
The operating temperature can be conveniently pre-selected via the user-friendly menu. The Heating Mantle allows the setting of two heating levels with individually selectable heating power and duration. Thanks to this flexibility, the incineration time of a typical 5 g sample varies between 8 and 15 minutes, depending on the material.
The Heating Mantle is equipped with modern electronics, which are controlled via an LCD display and four easy-to-operate keys. The display shows the set incineration time whereas a practical indicator light signals the automatic switchover to the second heating stage. Once the incineration process is complete, the heater switches off automatically and an audible signal informs the user that the process is finished.
This infrared Heating Mantle is used in conjunction with moisture analysers, for example, to determine the incineration residue or ash content by annealing or incinerating the dry substance after solids determination, e.g. in sewage treatment plants, in the chemical or paper industry and many other areas.
