One of the prerequisites for the increasing acceptance of electric vehicles is the expansion of charging facilities. The abbreviation EVSE - Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment - is often used for specifications in connection with these charging stations for electric vehicles. With a suitable EVSE measuring device, the various charging facilities and electric vehicles can be checked during the charging process. Special EVSE testers are also able to perform standardised tests for charging processes to determine whether a charging pole meets the requirements of the applicable standard. Such EVSE testers are mainly used in the development, production, installation and maintenance of charging stations.
The various types of EVSE measuring devices differ in terms of features and functionality. The range of available models extends from a relatively simple device for individual control measurements to a sophisticated professional device with loggable test results for the prescribed initial and repeat tests on e-charging stations. An EVSE measuring device can of course not only be used for measurements during the charging process, but also for the inspection and maintenance of electric vehicles in the workshop.
