Using the pool pH meter makes determining the pH value particularly easy. In order to carry out a measurement with the pool pH meter, the protective cap of the electrode must first be removed.Pool pH meter in use.The electrode can be cleaned quickly and thoroughly. After cleaning the electrode with a pH-neutral liquid, the pool pH meter is immediately ready for use. The pool pH meter can be activated quickly and easily at the push of a button. Now the electrode can be immersed in the pool water. Within a few seconds, the display of the pool pH meter shows the measurement results clearly legible. The practical data hold function of the pool pH meter enables the measured values to be saved. To freeze the measured value, a single push of the “Hold” button is sufficient. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the electrode of the pool pH meter with a pH-neutral liquid after each measurement. Alternative electrodes can also be connected to the pool pH meter using the BNC connector. Thanks to the ease of use, the pH meter can be easily adjusted to another electrode.
Since pH electrodes can drift over time, measurement errors may occur. To ensure high measurement accuracy, the pool pH meter should be recalibrated regularly with the calibration solution available from PCE Instruments (pH 4.01 and pH 7.01). In addition to the pH meter, PCE Instruments offers the CAL-PCE-PH ISO calibration certificate for pH meters. Calibration certificates are issued specifically for customers; the annual recalibration can also be carried out at PCE Instruments. The measurement accuracy of the pH tester can be verified and documented with the calibration certificate. For optimal cleaning of the pool pH meter, the cleaning solution pepsin / hydrochloric acid PCE-GCS-500 (500ml) is also available from PCE Instruments. The electrode should be cleaned regularly with the cleaning solution, ideally after each use, in order to permanently avoid contamination and the measurement inaccuracies caused by it.
