FME Timber Moisture Meter
For paper, wood and building materials
FME is a handheld timber moisture meter for accurate measurement of the moisture content of paper, wood and building materials. The moisture meter features preset characteristic curves for material-specific moisture measurement. To detect moisture, the moisture meter requires external sensors (sold separately - see accessories) that can either be inserted into a material or placed on a material's surface, allowing for either destructive or non-destructive measurement.
It is important to choose an external sensor to best suit the material to be measured. There are different sensor models for different materials and applications. Please see the accessories tab for more information about external sensors for the FME moisture meter.
The FME moisture meter is the ideal tool for monitoring the moisture content of paper, wood and building materials such as concrete, pavement, cement, gypsum and mortar. This portable handheld moisture meter can be used on the manufacturing production floor as well as on the construction job site to measure moisture in lumber, walls, floors and more.
A total of 500 preset characteristic curves are stored in the meter's internal memory. Below are some of the most popular material presets. Please see the user manual for complete details.
