Humidity Sensor

Excessive humidity often causes breathing troubles, but besides this uncomfortable effect which many people experience sometimes, there are much more aggravating consequences which occur at the absence of monitoring and control of the amount of water in the air. In all spheres: chemistry, laboratory experiments, medicine and biological processes, paper /food / textile / cosmetics production, agriculture (soil, fertilizers, greenhouses), painting and varnishing, electronics and many others, an application of humidity sensors is indispensable. Besides industrial processes, mold prevention at home, application and correct operation of HVAC systems, health of the people – these are the problems which can and should be solved in everyday life, and again, by means of humidity sensors.

Depending on the medium and sphere of application, the appropriate type of sensor should be selected (capacitive (tolerance and recovery from condensation, wide RH range and dew point), thermal conductivity (for high temperatures and AH) and resistive (detect and measure the electrical change in salt coating, polymers or treated substrates)). Modern sensors are resistant to dust and possible contamination by various particles, and provide accurate results, but anyways, such factors as ambient temperatures, locations, type of environment, size and required accuracy do not make them interchangeable.

The main common thing for all of the humidity sensors is that their main function is – to notify about inappropriate operating (for equipment and machines), environmental (various products and substances) or living and working (for people) conditions and thus, prevent from serious problems and losses.
