There are two different types of heating mantles:
1.The heating mantle with a fixed housing, which is particularly suitable for the tasks when the laboratory device can be placed on a table.
2.The heating mantle, also called the heating jacket, which is used when the heating element can be firmly fixed around the round bottom flask. This heating hood can be used when the round bottom flask is fixed, for example, on a stand.
It is typically known that the heating mantle is supplied without a controller, since the heating mantle is rather perceived as a component of the laboratory technology than a device. The setting of the target temperature on the heating mantle is carried out via a rotary or slide control. Of course, it is also possible here to use an external temperature controller with a Pt temperature sensor for a more precise temperature control.
