Particle counter for orienting measurement of the environmental conditions /
Determination of HCHO, fine dust (PM2.5 / PM10) /
Temperature and relative humidity / 3 "TFT LCD display
The air quality monitor PCE-RCM 11 serves the indicative examination of environmental parameters. The air quality monitor enables the measurement of fine dust, temperature and relative humidity. The bright display of the air quality monitor provides information about the already mentioned parameters. Environmental monitoring can be done continuously with the Air Quality Monitor for up to five hours without the device being connected to a power source.
For permanent measurement, the air quality monitor can be connected to the mains via a USB interface. The rechargeable battery will be recharged within two hours if the air quality monitor is turned off. The display of the concentrations is further simplified by the use of a color rating scale, as this directly provides information about the air quality to the user.
In addition to the indicative measurement of formaldehyde, which can be harmful to health, there is also an orienting measurement of particulate matter pollution to be carried out. A distinction is made between particles with a maximum diameter of up to 10 μm (PM10) and particles up to a diameter of 2.5 μm (PM2.5).
Eye irritation, headache or concentration problems: paints, furniture and adhesives can outgas the pollutants that affect the health. Therefore, the quality of the room air should be continuously monitored. Simply and precisely, this is done with a measuring device for testing the living-room air. Designed specifically for this purpose, the PCE Instruments meter is a real all-rounder when it goes about carrying out a living-room air test. During the room air test, the meter quickly and precisely determines several environmental parameters that are important for health and well-being. The living-room air test enables the effective and uncomplicated measurement of the volatile organic compounds (TVOC), particulate matter, temperature, formaldehyde and relative humidity. The display also informs about date and time.
Due to the living-room air test, one may keep the air quality under control, and the colour evaluation scale of the measuring device makes it particularly convenient. The scale of the measuring instrument serves as an indicator and facilitates the orientation for the user: as soon as a limit is exceeded, this is shown immediately in colour on the display. If desired, the device also makes an audible signal sound during the living-room air test, in case of a potential danger. This function is useful, for example, when measuring pollutants in the indoor air. The living-room air test with the particle counter allows, for example, the effective determination of the particulate matter pollution. Here, a distinction is made between the particles with a maximum diameter of up to 10 μm (PM10) and the particles with a diameter of up to 2.5 μm (PM2.5). In addition, the living-room air test gives precise information about the formaldehyde concentration in the room air. During the measurement of the volatile organic compounds (TVOD), the testing is possible within a measuring range from 0 to 9.99 mg / m³. For carrying out the living-room air test, the manufacturer has also equipped the particle counter with a large memory for 5000 measuring groups so that the determined values could also be retrieved later. In addition, during the living-room air test, the measuring device provides a reliable information about the temperature (-20 degrees Celsius to +70 degrees Celsius) and the humidity (0 to 100 percent RH). The measured values are updated every second.
During the living-room air test, the easy-to-read screen of the measuring instrument alternately displays the determined values. The user also has the opportunity to use the device completely independently for a while, without connection to a power source. Only after five hours of continuous operation the particle counter needs new energy. Within two hours, the battery of the meter can then be fully charged again to perform a new living-room air test. In order to enable a permanent measurement of the environmental conditions, the manufacturer has equipped the measuring device for the living-room air test with a USB interface. In this way, the user can connect the meter to a power source during a living-room air test. If necessary, the particle counter can also be set into an automatic sleep mode. Due to a built-in noise sensor, the meter automatically switches on as soon as it detects the noise and starts the living-room air test. If desired, this sensor can also be deactivated by the user.
The particle counter for the living-room air test is compact and flexible in use, it is therefore ideal for monitoring the air quality in different indoor areas in the professional and private sector. Its multiple functions and the ability to capture multiple environmental parameters make it the ideal instrument for factories, workplaces, schools and kindergarten day-care centres. Also, in the private sector, the preference during the living-room air quality test is given to this device due to the ease of use and the modern design.
