Our Tabletop Scales is a precise device for determining dry matter and ash content in samples. It is suitable for applications in raw material extraction, production, processing, storage, trade, research and recycling. With a maximum sample weight of 200 g and a high resolution of 0.001 g, the Tabletop Scales enables exact measurements of the moisture content and the ash residue.
The device works on the principle of drying and incineration with simultaneous weight measurement. During the drying process, the weight loss is continuously recorded and displayed as a percentage of the total mass. Thanks to a heater output of 375 W and an adjustable heating temperature of 105 °C to 600 °C, the Tabletop Scales offers quick and flexible drying and incineration of samples. Various parameters are available for measurement evaluation: % moisture, % dry matter, % moisture bd, g residual weight / kg, residual weight, % residue on ignition and % loss on ignition. These measured values allow a detailed analysis and precise determination of the dry matter and ash content.
The Tabletop Scales has a customisable automatic power-off function with three individually adjustable criteria: detection start, weight decrease per detection interval and detection interval. These functions ensure flexible control of the drying process. In addition, the dry substance, residue on ignition and moisture content can also be determined using the timer, which can be set between 1 and 180 minutes. To manage samples, up to nine parameter combinations are available in the programme memory, which can be adapted to different sample types.
A menu lock with PIN prevents accidental adjustment of the parameters. The CAL menu item remains available to enable calibration at any time. The PreFlash function shortens the drying time at temperatures up to 180 °C and thus speeds up the entire process. The balance also has a programme memory with up to 9 memory locations to store and quickly call up different drying profiles.
The device offers GLP-compliant output of all data via Data Bridge. Intermediate values can be printed at individually adjustable intervals. Data can be easily transferred via the serial RS-232 interface and USB. The integrated printer can be deactivated if required. Data can be transferred to a PC via a software which must be purchased separately. The moisture balance also has a 4-digit device ID for unique identification of the device, which enables precise allocation of the measurement data.
The moisture balance is suitable for temperature-insensitive materials in various areas, such as building materials like cement, concrete and gravel. The moisture balance can also be used in the chemical industry and in biogas plants to reliably check the moisture content of powders, granulates, pastes and organic materials.
